About P&AUSE

P&AUSE (P&A for A CAUSE) is an endeavor, which seeks involvement in the enabling of non-government, private voluntary and people’s organizations into a sector capable of delivering development initiatives.We are primarily composed of staff and employees of Punongbayan and Araullo (P&A).

Through P&AUSE, P&A sees itself not only as a monetary and manpower resource pool, but eventually, an institution that espouses the empowerment of disadvantaged individuals, families and communities for an improved quality of life.

P&AUSE works in synergy with other sectors and institutions and focuses on the following areas of concern: Health and Nutrition, Shelter and Infrastructure, Livelihood and Enterprise Development, Sustainable Development and Environment, Education and Youth Formation, and Gender and Human Development.

Last July 4, P&A For A Cause elected its new team of officers and representatives who will lead the organization for the next two fiscal years. Vince De Guzman (Semi-Senior, Transaction Advisory Services), who was elected PAUSE Project Director, will be joined by his “Cabinet” of unit representatives: Dennis Faustino (AGA), JP Lao (AGB), Paul Balon (BRS), Sharlene Dy (Tax), Joy Garcia (TAS), and Rosey Demigillo (Practice Support). PAUSE is still in the middle of appointing a representative for the Business Support Services Division.

To immediate past officers Noreen Romero (Project Director, 2006-2008), Evan Vianzon, Joseph Garcia and Ivan Ballarta, congratulations on your successful stint as PAUSE leaders!

And to Vince and the other PAUSE representatives, best wishes! May you further improve P&A’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives!

This was the humorous constant reminder of the teachers of Sisters of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary School to contain the din of their more than 200 hyperactive pupils. The 3 to 6 year-old toddlers, about 96 boys and 119 girls, were hard to restrain as they caught sight of the abundant presents awaiting them. This non-formal education center, founded by the French nun Sister Anne Healy, was the beneficiary of the annual P&AUSE project of P&A Cebu.
