P&A for a Cause (P&AUSE) launched its first project in General Trias, Cavite last Saturday, February 22.

P&AUSE is an organized way for P&A people to get involved in the enabling of non-government, private voluntary and people's organization into a sector capable of delivering development initiatives. The vision of P&AUSE is to transform P&A into an institution that espouses the empowerment of disadvantaged individuals, families and community for improved quality of life.

To mobilize P&AUSE and its projects, P&AUSE raises funds through solicitations from P&A's partners and employees with the Firm making a matching donation to the fund in an amount at least double the amount contributed by the staff. In addition to cash donations, P&AUSE also accepts old toys and clothes for distribution to underprivileged children.

Its first project, called P&AKAIN, is a community feeding program conceptualized by DSWD.

In this project, a group consisting of 30 children will be given hot meals daily for a period of six (6) months. Using DSWD’s current statistics, the government agency selected one of the most underprivileged barangays in the town of General Trias, Cavite. DSWD selected 30 malnourished children through individual weighing and enlisted them as beneficiaries of the feeding program.

Heeding the need for conscious voluntary service in addressing economic, social, and environmental problems arising from poverty and under-development, Punongbayan & Araullo (P&A) conceptualized P&AUSE (P&A For a Cause).

P&AUSE is an endeavor, which seeks involvement in the enabling of non-government, private voluntary and people’s organizations into a sector capable of delivering development initiatives.

Through P&AUSE, P&A sees itself not only as a monetary and manpower resource pool, but eventually, an institution that espouses the empowerment of disadvantaged individuals, families and communities for an improved quality of life.

P&AUSE works in synergy with other sectors and institutions and focuses on the following areas of concern:
